CloudJourney - Want to be on my live-stream?

Introducing My New Live-Stream Show

Cloud Journey is my new live-stream that is for 30min every Friday at Noon EST on my ExamPro Youtube Channel. I want to interview people at all stages of their cloud journey.

First Interview with Karan Balaji

My first interview is with Karan Balaji Friday 12PM EST on May 20th 2020.

Karan moved from Chennai India to Toronto Canada to study UX at Centennial College. While in Toronto he became actively involved in the Developer Community which put him on the path to AWS and Cloud Computing.

After visiting Montreal and loving the local culture, Karan relocated to find his career in the cloud. Karan currently holds the AWS CCP and AWS Solutions Architect Associate and is deciding whether to go for Pro or obtain the AWS Security Speciality.

So if you're a young kid from India wanting to make a career for yourself in Canada with no prior technical background other than playing videos games then you need to tune in. This a live-stream so viewers are encouraged to ask questions.

The Stages of the Cloud Journey

I want to interview people in these stages of their cloud journey. There is considerable value at all stages of your journey so if you're from one of these stages I want to talk to you.

Starting Stage Those who are considering a career change to the cloud from either a technical or none technical background, trying to understand what is involved and what outcome they can expect from a cloud career. Why they think they want to get into cloud in the first place.

Studying Stage Those who are self-studying via tutorial, courses or projects and want to share their study path or explore if their study path and study habits will result in the outcome they are looking for.

Career Seeking Stage Those are trying to land their first cloud role and the struggles they've been experiencing, whether they are marketing themselves correctly, have completed the necessary skills to get a job.

Early Career Stage Those who are a couple of years into their career, where they can talk about their experience so as to date. Whether they are in the cloud role they wanted, or if they are considering a different cloud role, and how did they get the job?

The Pursuit of Defining Cloud Roles

The reason I want to talk to people is so that we can better define what cloud roles are available in the industry, what is the journey to get there, and what is the experience of working in that cloud role.

The definition and scope of cloud careers are still in there in infancy and it's really hard to define that journey. Ask someone what a Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineers does and you'll get 5 different answers. There are many hidden cloud roles that people aren't aware of because they have no career title. Let's discover them and give them a name.
